People are being urged to avoid a Chadderton Street after a suspicious item was recovered from inside an address this evening.
Block Lane has been cordoned off by police as they deal with the item seized from inside the property.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said; “Our officers are dealing with a suspicious item found inside an address on Block Lane, Chadderton - there is a cordon in place and people should avoid the area.
“Other emergency services are also in attendance and the EOD are due to attend.”
