Students at Oasis Academy Leesbrook celebrate GCSE results

One of the students at Oasis Academy Leesbrook celebrates her GCSE results with family.

It was a morning full of celebrations as Oasis Academy Leesbrook pupils collected their GCSE results last Thursday.

This year's Year 11 cohort experienced significant disruption within their education due to the pandemic, but their results have marked an important milestone in the academy's continuing improvement journey, reflecting the hard work of students, staff and families.

Oasis Academy Leesbrook students have not only achieved strong grades but have also demonstrated resilience, determination and a strong commitment to their futures.

The academy is proud to see an increase in the number of students achieving the highest grades, with more students securing grades 7 and above, compared to last year.

This achievement reflects the academy's ongoing dedication to supporting every aspect of a young person's development, helping them succeed academically while also building confidence, character and essential life skills.

Andrea Mitchell, Principal at Oasis Academy Leesbrook, said: “Results Day is always a special moment, and it has been fantastic to see our Year 11 students celebrating with their families and teachers.

"We are particularly pleased to see an increase in the number of students achieving grades 7 and above, and I want to congratulate every student on their achievements.

“What makes me most proud is seeing how far our young people have come during their time at Leesbrook. Many have faced challenges along the way, but they have shown real resilience and ambition to reach this point.”

The academy now looks ahead as students' progress to college, apprenticeships, further training and employment, taking with them the knowledge, confidence and character they have developed during their time at Leesbrook.
