Snooker showman Dominic Dale thrilled fans in Oldham – demonstrating who's boss on the baize as he showed-off a scintillating performance.
The Grand Prix Champion played several frames with local enthusiasts during his visit to Oldham Snooker Academy, where he achieved a total clearance break of 144.
Organiser Mohammed Nisar said: “The night went extremely well. Just the hot weather meant that some people were on holiday or away.
“We could have done with 60 people but around 40 attended, which was still good. Dominic loved the match table which was reclothed for him the day before.
“He loved the venue and the local people. He even stayed behind for an extra two hours whilst signing autographs and taking photos.”
Local snooker enthusiasts played 12 frames with the Shanghai Masters Champion at the Waddington Street venue.
The Spaceman, now retired from the sport, spent 33 years as a professional snooker player and became Shootout Champion with 253 Career Centuries.
The 53-year-old, known for his flamboyant image, won two ranking titles during his professional career, the 1997 Grand Prix, where he defeated John Higgins 9-6 in the final, and the 2007 Shanghai Masters, where he beat Ryan Day 10-6 in the final. He is now a commentator for TNT.
