Real-life brothers set to take the stage as Applauz CIC and Sarah Byrne Acting Academy bring gritty classic "Road" to Chadderton Town Hall.
Applauz CIC, in partnership with Sarah Byrne Acting Academy, is bringing Jim Cartwright's award-winning play "Road" to Chadderton Town Hall for two performances on Saturday 17 and Sunday, October 18, 2026.
Inspired by Oldham's Town of Culture 2026, the production features a cast drawn largely from Sarah Byrne Acting Academy's senior class, including real-life brothers playing the roles of Bisto and Scullery.
The cast also includes Harley Hamilton (Joey), known for playing Oscar in "Emmerdale" Eryn Hall, (Clare) known for playing Heidi in "High Hoops" and Phoebe Weston (Marion) who appears in the upcoming film “Werewolf" out later this year.
Tickets are priced at £15 and are available now via https://www.zeffy.com/en-GB/ticketing/road-by-jim-cartwright-2
Sarah Byrne, Director of the Acting Academy, said: "Road is one of the most powerful plays we've ever tackled and watching these young performers bringing Jim Cartwright's characters to life have been incredible. This is exactly what Oldham's Town of Culture year should be about, giving local talent a stage."
