A Chadderton School Headteacher has scooped a prestigious award in recognition of his continued commitment to supporting the local community.
John Cregg from The Radclyffe School was recognised at the event, which celebrated individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the town.
Derai Probashi Kollan Porishod Oldham, a non-profit group founded in 2010 by residents originally from Derai in Bangladesh, hosted the awards and play a significant role in community life across Oldham.
The group organises a wide range of activities including charity events, Iftar gatherings, musical performances and sports.
At their most recent annual awards ceremony, Mr Cregg was presented with an award in recognition of his continued commitment to supporting the local community.
It was a proud moment for the school to see Mr Cregg’s efforts acknowledged in such a meaningful way.
Speaking at the event, Mr Cregg said: “I am truly honoured to receive this award on behalf of The Radclyffe School.
“It is a testament not just to my work but to the dedication of our incredible staff and the enthusiasm of our students, who continually strive to make a positive difference in our community.”
