Police to step up patrols in Shaw after reports of man behaving suspiciously

Anyone who can help officers with information should call 101.

There will be an increased police presence in Shaw following reports of a man behaving suspiciously in the area last Friday (July 3, 2026).

The Neighbourhood Policing Team is working closely with local schools and businesses, providing advice and reviewing CCTV footage as part of ongoing efforts to identify the individual.

Anyone with any information that may help with police enquiries, should call 101 or report anonymously via Crimestoppers.

Local people who may have any immediate concerns for someone's safety or witness an incident requiring an urgent police response, should call 999.
