Police seize illegal tobacco

Police remove all illegal tobacco and vapes.

Oldham police and Trading Standards have seized a large amount of illicit hand rolling tobacco and cigarettes from a shop in Shaw.

Officers visited the premises on Market Street and discovered several disposables vapes and illicit tobacco that were being advertised for sale. 

They recovered 117 single use vapes, 225g illicit hand rolling tobacco and 143 illicit cigarettes. 

Trading Standards and Neighbourhood police are working in partnership with the objective to regulate the sale of vapes, all premises that sell vapes will be visited by Trading Standards and Police to seek compliance.
