The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is appealing for information following a fatal accident outside Asda Shaw last night (Thurs).
The driver of a Peugeot Expert was making their way to the exit of the Asda car park on Greenfield Lane when they struck a woman making her way back to her vehicle at around 6.50pm.
The 78-year-old woman suffered significant injuries and has sadly died from the collision.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit continue their investigation and are asking for anyone with information to please come forward.
This includes anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage of it.
