Officers are appealing for information after a shop worker was threatened with a gun in the Failsworth area earlier this year.
At around 4.15pm on May 13, a man entered a store on Oldham Road, Failsworth, and asked the worker if he wanted to buy perfume, which was rejected.
He entered again minutes later and picked up a drink bottle, at which point the worker started recording. The offender put down the bottle and tried to hit the phone out of the worker’s hand, before once again leaving.
Minutes later, the thug once again entered, but wearing a balaclava and demanding the man apologise.
The worker tried to get him out of the store due to his aggressive nature at which point the man pulled out what was described as a pistol, pointing it at the worker and asking him to apologise again. The man then left shortly after.
Since the incident, officers have undertaken numerous enquiries and have now released an image of a man they would like to speak to, as it is believed he could help with their enquiries.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101 or the Live Chat service at gmp.police.uk.
Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
