Police are urging these two witnesses (pictured) to come forward after the death of an elderly couple at Crook Gate Reservoir in Denshaw.
Officers were called to reports of a fatal road traffic collision after a car was found in the reservoir on March 15, 2025.
Emergency services attended the scene and pronounced the death of the the man and the woman in their 70s.
From enquiries so far, officers believe the car left the carriageway before being located in the reservoir.
Officers are at a stage of their investigation where they are appealing for the two witnesses to come forward.
The individuals in the CCTV image were at the Junction Inn car park, Rochdale Road in Denshaw at around 7pm on March 14, 2025, and it is believed they may have information, as witnesses, that could assist in the investigation.
