Over £200,000 invested back into homes and educational initiatives thanks to profit share deal between FCHO and Wolseley Managed Services

A profit share deal between First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) and Wolseley Managed Services has led to more than £200,000 being invested back into homes and educational initiatives.

The builder's merchant has a branch inside the housing association’s Primrose Place Property Care centre off Ashton Road and agreed to the deal three years ago. 

Since then, FCHO has received back £192,000, with the cash ring fenced for use on improving existing properties. 

In addition, Wolseley has committed to donating one per cent of FCHO’s total spend with them each year to support social value projects. 

Last year, FCHO spent £2 million, so a further £20,000 was recently given by the company to fund two digital literacy and inclusion programmes with charities in Chadderton and Werneth later this year. 

Chief Executive, Mark Gifford, explained: “FCHO spends a great deal on repairs and this profit share deal with Wolseley means we are receiving more money back each year to further improve our homes and customers’ lives. 

“Working in the same building is a big positive for both FCHO and Wolseley. We have all the materials we need on site so we can be more efficient, and the company has a big, dependable customer.” 

He said: "In challenging times FCHO needs to be innovative if we are to increase our spending power. Wolseley is a great partner for us in this respect and I'm sure this strong relationship will continue."
