Grand Prix Champion Dominic Dale is all set to pot some shots at the latest snooker exhibition to be held in the town.
Local snooker enthusiasts are being invited to play with the Shanghai Masters Champion at the Oldham Snooker Academy on Waddington Street at 7pm on Thursday, July 10.
The Spaceman, now retired from the sport, spent 33 years as a professional snooker player and became Shootout Champion with 253 Career Centuries.
The 53-year-old, known for his flamboyant image, won two ranking titles during his professional career, the 1997 Grand Prix, where he defeated John Higgins 9-6 in the final, and the 2007 Shanghai Masters, where he beat Ryan Day 10-6 in the final. He is now a commentator for TNT.
Organiser, Mohammed Nisar said: “Dominic is right good character and we are looking forward to welcoming him to our club.”
Tickets are limited to 60 and are on a first come, first served basis, costing £10 in advance or £15 on the evening.
