A pensioner from Shaw has been charged with sexual offences against a child under the age of 14 at a school in Oldham in the 1970s.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed on Wednesday (7 April) that Christopher Pickup, of Underwood Way, has been charged with 26 offences of indecent assault on a boy under the age of 14 years.
The 76-year-old is scheduled to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on Thursday 6 May.
In August 2019, police received a report of sexual offences against children at a school in Oldham in the 1970s and an investigation was launched.
