Oldham Council has announced the reopening of a footbridge following a full programme of repairs and restoration.
The BR144 Ash Footbridge installation is now open, providing a safer and more accessible route for residents.
The final works for the new pedestrian bridge, which runs over the River Medlock, Woodhouses in Failsworth, including the fitting of the safety rails, were completed by Polydeck Limited.
The structure has been designed for durability and improved access, offering long-term benefits to the community.
Councillor Chris Goodwin, Cabinet Member for Transport and Highways said: "This new footbridge is a great improvement for local residents. It shows our commitment to making walking routes safer and more accessible. I'd like to thank everyone who worked so hard to deliver this project successfully."
