NHS ambulance service rescue injured horse rider

North-West Ambulance Service NHS Trust were called out to an incident involving a woman who fell off her horse and needed emergency treatment.

The team assisted with the extrication of the woman who had fallen from her horse and injured her leg in Grotton at midday on Bank Holiday Monday.  

Paramedics and doctors from North West Air Ambulance provided first aid and the patient was placed on a stretcher before being carried a short distance to the waiting ambulance for further treatment.
