A motorcyclist in his 50s has died following a collision on the M60 last night.
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene of the crash at around 8:15pm after reports of a single-vehicle RTC involving a motorcycle travelling clockwise on the M60 between junctions 18 for Simister Island and 19, near Middleton.
The road was closed just after 8pm and diversions were put in place. Despite best efforts of the emergency services, the male sadly died at the scene of the accident.
No other vehicles were involved and police are now appealing for more information to understand the circumstances that led up to the collision.
Police are particularly interested in anybody who may have dash-cam footage of the incident.
