Momodou Jallow, 21, of Ashley Lane, Moston has now been charged with the murder of 24-year-old Joe O’Brien from Blackley.
A man has been charged with murder after a large fight outside a pub in Failsworth.
Momodou Jallow, 21, of Ashley Lane, Moston was previously charged with Section 18 assault, violent disorder and possession of a bladed article.
He has now been charged with murder of 24-year-old Joe O’Brien from Blackley and will appear via video link at Tameside Magistrates’ Court today.
The charge relates to a fight police were called to on Oldham Road at around 3am on Sunday 21 April 2019.
Joe O’Brien sadly died after being stabbed - another man, who was 21 at the time of the incident, was also stabbed.
Daniel Kamara (30/01/97) of Beswick Drive and a 17-year-old from Failsworth – who cannot be named for legal reasons – are charged with Section 18 assault and violent disorder and next due to appear at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on 22 May 2019.
Jallow was further charged on 8 May 2019.
