Two men from Oldham have been charged after a 60-year-old man died in hospital following 'a disturbance' in Derker.
Jamie Kennedy, 24, of Yorkshire Street, has been charged with murder.
Christopher Kennedy, 25, also of Yorkshire Street, has been charged with Section 47 Assault and Common Assault.
Both men appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (20 October) and have been remanded in custody. Another hearing has been scheduled for 21 January 2022 and a trial date of 4 April 2022 has also been set.
Greater Manchester Police were called at around 9.30am last Friday morning (15 October) to a report of a disturbance at an address on Frances Street.
Emergency services attended and the victim, who has since been identified as Bob Payne, was taken to hospital with critical injuries.
Mr Payne passed away on Monday (18 October) whilst still in the hospital.
Police are continuing to appeal for information and are urging those with information - including dashcam or CCTV footage - to get in touch.
