A man has been charged with kidnap after armed police were called to The Royal Oldham Hospital.
Daniel Buckley, 31, of Wilson Way, is due to appear in court on 1 November - where he will also face charges of common assault, and two counts of possession of a bladed article.
Armed police were called to the hospital on Rochdale Road at around 5.30pm on 30 August following reports of a male in possession of bladed weapons who had gained access to a car outside the main Accident and Emergency entrance.
No injuries were reported but a large emergency response was summoned, including paramedics and a police helicopter.
