A man has been arrested on suspicion of rape after a woman was attacked on a night out in Oldham.
Greater Manchester Police said the force received a report of a rape in an alleyway near to Royton Cricket Club, at around 1.30am on 31 October last year.
The man made off from the scene afterwards.
Detectives launched an immediate investigation and appealed for information from the public this week.
Police confirmed on Friday morning (20 May) that a 31-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of rape. He remains in custody for questioning.
