Young people across Oldham will have the opportunity to explore theatre and performing arts with Oldham Theatre Workshop at Mahdlo Youth Zone, with places available for £5 per course.
Taking place in The Space at Mahdlo, the programme will offer three different theatre projects: Create as a Company, Performance Lab and Mahdlo Show Makers.
Participants will have opportunities to develop performance skills, learn spoken words and dance, explore their own ideas and create an original show in time for Christmas.
Open to young people aged 8-19, with places available up to age 25 for those with additional needs, the programme offers projects for different age groups.
Beginning on September 28 and running on Monday and Tuesday evenings, the programme is open to young people across Oldham.
Kate Bennett, Operations Manager at Mahdlo Youth Zone, said: “We are so pleased to be launching our partnership with Oldham Theatre Workshop, with an exciting set of fun and inclusive programmes that will open doors to theatre at Mahdlo.
“We would encourage all young people in the community to come along and get involved, whether you’re an experienced performer or wanting to try a particular theatre skill for the very first time.
“There really is something for everyone and we’re so excited to see what young people create together.”
