Police are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was struck by a car and left fighting for her life.
Officers from Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) have launched an investigation following the accident on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
The woman, in her 90s, was hit by a reversing vehicle at around 2pm on Albert Road West and was transported to hospital where she remains in a serious condition.
The SCIU are asking for anyone with information to please come forward.
This includes anyone who believes they saw the vehicle driving before the collision, witnessed the incident itself, or have dashcam footage or CCTV of the incident.
