Retailers and service providers in Oldham town centre can apply for shop front improvement grants.
The shop front improvement grants will help businesses give their premises a fresh new look, while making the town centre more attractive for shoppers, visitors and residents.
Funding can be used for external improvements only such as new signage, painting and decorating, lighting, repairs to doors and windows, or restoring original features that help buildings stand out.
Grants can also cover professional fees linked to the project, such as planning or building regulations costs.
Priority will be given to businesses on Yorkshire Street, Union Street, Henshaw Street and George Street, as well as those located close to key regeneration projects including the new outdoor market and Coliseum Theatre.
Businesses working together to improve properties are also encouraged to apply.
Grants will cover up to 75 per cent of eligible costs, with awards of up to £10,000 for single-fronted premises and £20,000 for double-fronted premises. Businesses will need to contribute at least 25 per cent of the project's cost.
Applications opened on Wednesday, July 1 July and close on Wednesday, August 12 and all shop front works must be completed by Sunday, February 28, 2027.
James Kington, Director of Growth for Oldham Council, said: "Our local businesses are a huge part of what makes Oldham special, and these grants can make a real difference.
"We're already seeing major investment across Oldham town centre, and it's important that local businesses can be part of that journey too.
"By helping businesses improve their premises, we're creating a more attractive town centre, bringing in more visitors and supporting our local economy. I'd encourage any eligible business to take a look at the funding and apply."
One business that has already benefited from the scheme is Tymbuku Health and Beauty on Yorkshire Street, which improved its shop front through the previous round of funding last year
