Good Deed Circles continues to make a positive impact across the borough

In just four months since launching - Good Deed Circles has made a significant difference by promoting kindness, community spirit, and cleaner neighbourhoods through regular litter-picking activities.

The group has organised successful litter picks across Royton, Coppice, Chadderton, and Coldhurst, bringing residents together to care for their communities.  

They have also worked in partnership with a range of faith organisations to encourage people to keep their neighbourhoods clean and litter-free. 

Good Deed Circles Chairman, Saleh Uddin Talukdar Suman said: “Promoting Good Deed is one of the things I always believe in my life.  

“It is an absolute pleasure to bring people together and work with so many organisations, people and communities through Good Deed Circles. We also encourage people to support us in keeping areas tidy too.” 

In June, Good Deed Circles celebrated the dedication of its volunteers with a special Volunteers' Celebration, supported by Action Together.  Volunteers came together to enjoy food, fun, and well-deserved recognition for their hard work and commitment.  

The event included football-themed games inspired by the FIFA Club World Cup, adding to the excitement as everyone looked forward to the tournament final on Sunday, with one lucky volunteer winning a special prize. 

The group also took part in The Great Get Together, supported by the Jo Cox Foundation, marking the 10th anniversary of Jo Cox's legacy.  

The event combined community litter picking with activities that celebrated kindness, unity, and bringing people together. 

Good Deed Circles believes that simple acts of kindness can inspire positive change and strengthen communities. Its members and volunteers are passionate about encouraging others to get involved and make a difference through practical community action.
