Free brass lessons for children with Saddleworth band

The Dobcross Youth Band are offering brass instrument lessons to beginner players aged 7 and over this autumn.

More than 70 children and young people already go to twice-weekly rehearsals in the youth band.

Children that take part in this opportunity will learn how to read music and plays notes from Musical Director Seth Livingstone.

Lessons are going to be on Tuesday and Friday from 6.00pm to 6.30pm. Instruments are provided.

Beginner players also have the chance to perform in the Dobcross Youth Band Christmas, Easter and summer concerts.

Those interested in the free sessions can email dobcrossyouthband@gmail.com or find out more here.
