The family of a 55-year-old man who died following an altercation in Oldham on Saturday evening (December 6) have paid tribute to him.
Paul Anderson, of Plumpton Close, Royton, sadly passed away, and his family have shared words in his memory.
They said: “Rest in peace Paul, a precious dad, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend who was so loved.
“A loveable rogue who wouldn’t hurt a soul, sadly taken from us in the cruellest way.
“He was a gentleman with a big heart and an incredible sense of humour. Our hearts will be forever broken”.
David Warren Jack (59) of Plumpton Close, Royton, has been charged with murder.
Jack has been remanded in custody and will appear at Tameside Magistrates Court tomorrow (Tuesday, December 9, 2025).
