Education professionals being offered award winning Inset Day training packs

Leading e-learning provider High Speed Training is offering all schools and education establishments the chance to download a free safeguarding INSET day pack.

The pack, which can be downloaded here, will cover the fundamentals of safeguarding and a variety of specific issues including online safety, child-on-child abuse, radicalisation and extremism, mental health and domestic abuse.

The free pack, which includes ready-to-deliver presentations, expert video content, scenarios and printable handouts for staff, is created by the safeguarding experts at High Speed Training in line with the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2025 and Working Together to Safeguard Children (WTSC) guidance.

Good safeguarding practice in schools and education establishments is crucial to building safe and effective learning environments for pupils, and INSET days, also known as training days, or teacher training days, are an opportunity for staff to engage in CPD training and upskilling.

Dr Richard Anderson, Head of Learning and Development at High Speed Training, said: “We all know how important it is that both pupils and staff within education establishments feel safe and free to reach their full potential. An effective culture of safeguarding is essential to achieving this.

“We know that teachers and other education professionals are under immense pressure, so we created this free award-winning INSET pack to help schools really make the most of their training days, and play our part in helping to ensure everyone can learn in a safe environment.”

“INSET days are a vital part of the school year, as it allows staff to learn about the latest updates across a range of topics. Therefore, it’s really important that they are run as effectively as possible. Our free safeguarding pack will help schools to maximise the outcomes from their training days.”

The pack was also shortlisted for two awards at the Education Resources Awards 2025, in the Secondary Resource and Wellbeing categories.
