Driver hits lamppost before fleeing

Police are appealing for information after a car crashed into a lamppost in the Coppice area of Oldham.

Officers attended the incident on Gainsborough Avenue, last night, after the vehicle collided with two parked cars before hitting the lamppost.

It is believed the driver fled from the scene and officers are now conducting enquiries. There were no injuries reported.
