Oldham Mountain Rescue Team (OMRT) are excited to announce the return of the Dovestone Diamond Multi-Terrain Race.
Taking place on Wednesday, May 27 at 7.30pm, the scenic and challenging route is unchanged from races held in previous years (pictured) providing a little bit of everything from 500ft of ascent to flowing downhills.
Dovestone Diamond Race has been kindly passed over to OMRT by Greenfield Greyhounds Running Events owner, Colin Green who will remain as Race Director.
All profits raised from the event are in aid of Oldham Mountain Rescue Team and will go towards their Vehicle Replacement Fund.
The route will be marshalled, including a water stop, with signage at key turns, with toilets and refreshments at the registration point which will be situated at St.Mary’s School, Greenfield. Prizes will also be awarded for first three places across a number of categories.
Colin Green, Race Director and Oldham Mountain Rescue Team Trainee said: “I’m delighted to see the race return and also raise funds for the Team. This is a great route suitable for everyone whether it’s your first trail event or you’re a seasoned fell and trail runner.
“It is well supported by the local running community with places having sold out quickly in previous years and I don’t expect it to be any different this time round.”
