Community grants now open to improve spaces across Oldham

The Leader of Oldham Council, Councillor Arooj Shah.

Oldham Council, working in partnership with Action Together, has launched the Community Regeneration Partnership Capital Grants Programme.

The programme will provide grants of up to and over £75,000 to voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations to invest in community spaces where people come together.

The application portal is open now and can be accessed via the Action Together website Grants information (application and guidance). The deadline to apply is Monday, January 19, 2026.

Successful projects will contribute to Oldham’s 2030 vision: Our Future Oldham, delivering healthier, happier lives and making Oldham a great place to live.

Councillor Arooj Shah, Leader of Oldham Council, said:  "This programme is about investing in the places that matter most to local people – the spaces where communities connect, learn, and thrive. We want to support local organisations to create stronger, healthier, and more vibrant neighbourhoods across Oldham.

“This is your chance to make a difference in your community and build something to last.”

The council will be hosting funder webinars for those who are interested in applying for the funding, with Action Together. These information sessions will provide details on the funding and how to apply, as well as provide interested groups with the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about the support available. These will be held online:

October 10, 2pm – 3pm – Booking link: Meet the Funder 10 October

October 28, 5pm – 6pm – Booking link: Meet The Funder 28 October

The application portal can be accessed on the Action Together website Grants information (application and guidance)
