Brutal brawl between players and fans abandoned Avro whitewash

Avro Fc verses Kidsgrove Athletic ended in chaos as the match was abandoned with 10 minutes left on the clock, after a brawl broke out between players and fans at the Vestacare Stadium this past Saturday.

Avro were very much comfortable in the game, finding themselves 6-0 up and Kidsgrove down to 8 men before the altercation took place with 10 minutes left to go in the non-league clash.

The fight, which has been wildly viewed on social media, sees players jumping the barrier of the pitch to engage in an ugly altercation with a fan who is dragged to the ground. The brawl only got worse and began to spill behind the goal on the pitch where a goalkeeper is seen connecting a hefty punch to a fan in the face as players and coaches began to separate the aggressive parties.

Onlookers of the altercation included young children, who are heard screaming in the viral footage that flooded sites such a X and Tik Tok.

Both clubs have since made statements, with Avro making their feelings on the matter clear:

‘Today’s game between Avro and Kidsgrove was abandoned in the 84th minute.

We as a club are appalled with the behaviour of some of the fans, players and officials of Kidsgrove Athletic.
We will support and co-operate with both the NPL and FA in their investigation of the incidents which occurred in the 84th minute of today’s game.

Avro were leading 6–0 at the time of the event against Kidsgrove’s 9 men due to two players earlier being shown red cards on the field of play.
The incident followed the dismissal of one of the Kidsgrove management team who wasn’t on the field of play.

We will await the reports of the referee and FA.
