First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) has released 13 shared ownership family homes for sale at its Fitton Hill development.
Three four-bedroom properties and ten three-bedroom properties are available at Hartshead View off Rosary Road.
Prices depend on the house type and size of share, but typically £71,250 purchases a 25 per cent share in a three-bedroom property and £90,000 buys a 25 per cent share in a four-bedroom home. Shares can range from 10 per cent to up to 75 per cent, FCHO said.
“Shared ownership can be a good choice for people who want to get a firm foot on the housing ladder and we’re pleased to be able to offer these 13 family homes at Fitton Hill,” said FCHO executive director of corporate services and deputy chief executive Andy Ewart.
“This is a major development where we are building a new community. It is also in an area people want to live and, when finished, two thirds of the properties will be family homes – a key consideration as we look to help with the need for larger houses in Oldham.”
The 13 are part of the first phase of 29 properties completed at Fitton Hill this summer. The other 16 were for social rent.
FCHO will eventually take over 101 properties at the site by 2027 in a £15.7 million deal between it and developer Vistry Group.
The semi-detached and detached homes have Energy Performance Certificate ratings of either A or B with solar panels and high energy efficiency to keep bills down.
The homes at Hartshead View are being marketed through Fabric Living - FCHO’s shared ownership and sales brand.
