For just £1, you could win up to £3,000 in Dr Kershaw's 22nd Anniversary Raffle Draw.
Tickets are now available online for the draw, which will take place on Friday, October 3. One lucky winner will receive £3,000, with a runner-up prize of £1,000 and four prizes of £125.
The hospice’s Spring Raffle Draw raised an incredible £19,665, and Dr Kershaw’s hopes to raise even more this autumn.
Joanne Penketh, head of lottery and donor stewardship at Dr Kershaw’s, said: “By entering our raffle draw, you are directly contributing to high-quality, compassionate care.
“As Oldham’s only hospice, we are dedicated to ensuring dignity and specialised support, free of charge. We are only one-quarter funded by the NHS, so even just £1 makes a difference.
“As we all know, bills are rising all of the time, and your support is now needed more than ever.”
All of the money raised will go towards funding patient care, which in 2024/25 cost £14,793 per day across all hospice services.
This includes Dr Kershaw’s inpatient unit, wellbeing centre and at-home care support.
Joanne Penketh added: “Just £10 – or ten chances to win – could provide one hour’s bereavement support over the phone to a loved one navigating grief.
“For the price of 30 tickets, we can provide fuel for our Caring Hands car for three days. Raffle tickets are great gifts for family, friends and colleagues – and with our new website, it’s now easier than ever to buy them online.”
Tickets can be purchased from the hospice’s charity shops in Lees, Royton and Shaw.
They can also be bought at the hospice’s reception, via telephone, or online at www.drkh.org.uk/lotterydraw.
