Seventeen year old Judith Greaves of Meadow Lane, Haughton Green, was taking on a new role in September 1966 as head girl at Fairfield High School.
She hoped to go to university to study English - one of her A Level school subjects - along with history, French and Russian.
Judith was a member of the young adults group at St Mary’s Church, Haughton Green, but had recently resigned as secretary of the Haughton Green Young Conservatives due to “pressure of work.”
