
Sleeping Beauty had provided a sparkling opening to the latest chapter in Janice Hughes’ stage career.
An am-dram stalwart for the past seven years, Janice, of Haycock Close, Stalybridge had made her first move into choreography, working on a recent pantomime. She crowned her successful debut as the 1991 winner of the Greater Manchester Drama Federation’s Rene Rostron Trophy.
Janice told our reporter she had drawn on her own past experience as a seasoned pantomime performer and as a dance teacher.
