Residents and politicians have been pulling together to work on improving Combs Reservoir.
The Canal and River Trust, Chapel-en-le-Frith Parish Council and the local community are working on improvements at the popular local reservoir.
The works include resurfacing the pathway around the reservoir, creating a picnic area, and environmental and ecological enhancements.
The plans will make the visitor experience more enjoyable for residents.
Since Wednesday 8 June, volunteers have been helping resurface the footpath around the reservoir by laying a new slate surface.
Among the volunteers who have joined them have been High Peak MP Robert Largan and Whaley Bridge county councillor Ruth George.
Mr Largan said: “It was good to help out on the Canal and River Trust works refurbishing the Combs Reservoir path. Well done to all of the volunteers who have been helping out. It’s great to see the community pulling together to improve the path. Let’s work together to make the High Peak even better.”
Ms George commented: "Good to get stuck in helping with resurfacing the path next to Combs Reservoir. The new surface will be a big improvement on the bumpy muddy path. Thanks to all those who’ve helped - a great community effort."
