Detectives are appealing for information following the death of a woman whose body was found on a field in Hadfield.
The discovery was understood to have been made by dog walkers in the field behind Glossopdale School, just before 8am on Sunday 27 December.
Police say the woman's family have been notified and there are no suspicious circumstances.
A file is now being prepared for the coroner.
No further details have been released at this time.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the woman, who was wearing a long green coat and walking a brown Staffordshire Bull Terrier in Hadfield, between 6pm on 26 December and around 8am on 27 December.
