Police in Glossopdale are reminding people who will be out doing Christmas shopping in the coming days to stay vigilant.
Officers from the Glossop and Hadfield Safer Neighbourhood teams have been at the B&M store on Norfolk Street in Glossop this afternoon (Wednesday).
They were offering crime prevention advice and fitting cat bells, purse chains and giving out card protectors to shoppers.
They will also be at Glossop Indoor Market, opposite the bag stall, from 10am on Saturday (December 21).
Police are also reminding shoppers to ensure their purses and wallets are zipped up and close to their body, after a woman had her purse taken from her bag in Glossop earlier this week.
