A pigeon that had become stuck on the roof of a building in Glossop was rescued by firefighters.
Members of the public had become increasingly concerned about the bird that had become trapped in netting on Thursday afternoon (18 May).
Crews from Glossop Fire Station attended the property on High Street East just after 7pm.
Using a 10.5 metre ladder, they were able to reach the pigeon and free it from the netting.
It is believed the bird was then taken to Tameside's People 4 Wildlife, who will care for the bird before it is released.
