For the first time in years, the clock at Glossop's Town Hall has been removed so work can be carried out to restore the historic timepiece.
It is all part of High Peak Borough Council’s ongoing works aimed to regenerate and restore the Town Hall, Market Hall, and Municipal Buildings.
In this latest phase of the project, work will also be carried out on the clock tower.
It is not yet known when the clock will return but, when it does, the hands will remain stopped at midday whilst work on the buildings/project continues.
