Residents are invited along and join the fun at Tintwistle Bowling Club’s Open Day on Saturday 2 May, from 11am to 5pm
The event promises a lively day of crown green bowling, a sizzling BBQ and refreshments for all to enjoy.
The celebration marks the club’s recent success in securing a £1,000 community grant, which has been used to purchase eight brand new pairs of crown green bowls including three sets specially designed for junior players.
Club representatives say the investment is all about supporting and engaging local residents, encouraging everyone to give the new equipment a try.
Despite coinciding with the Bank Holiday weekend, organisers are optimistic about a strong turnout. “If you’re staying local, pop down to the bowling green for great food, cold drinks, and friendly company,” they added.
