Police are appealing for CCTV or dashcam footage after two skips were stolen from close to Thornsett and Birch Vale.
The thefts took place overnight on Thursday October 24, when one commercial and one domestic skip were taken by a flat-bed and a specialist skip lorry.
Derbyshire police have said they believe the trucks headed north along the A6.
