The Dark Peak Photography Festival is a new event that will run from the 22nd–25th February 2024 in Glossop.
Visitors can immerse themselves in a wide range of exhibitions, participatory workshops and talks, to celebrate the Dark Peak area past and present.
The festival will show a range of free exhibitions featuring inspiring photography from the Dark Peak area and beyond. Here are just a few of the exciting projects that you can see exhibited: Fallen–exploring the WWII aircraft crash sites of the Dark Peak, the Closure Year–documenting final year of Glossopdale School before it’s closure, Derbyshire hill farming and community– a glimpse into the life of Derbyshire’s hill farmers and a walk down Glossop High Street circa 1900.
For those who want to get more involved, you can sign up for a workshop to improve photography skills, listen to a talk from a photographer on their work, or take a guided photo walk all at https://www.darkpeakphotography.co.uk
