Charlesworth Parish council has a new member.
After the applicant gave an overview of why they wanted to join, councillors voted to co-opt Gillian Wheeler with immediate effect.
Orchard name to recognise Jubilee
The community orchard planted in Charlesworth last year is to named in honour of the Queen’s Jubilee.
Members of the Parish Council took the decision after discussing ways to celebrate and mark the historic event.
New clerk needed
Charlesworth Parish Council is looking to recruit a new Parish Clerk.
It comes after the current Clerk Carol Ann Lewkowicz handed in her resignation. She will leave the post at the end of May.
Wells Dressing boost
Councillors in Charlesworth have given their back to this year’s Well Dressing.
They agreed, at their recent meeting, to donate £200 to help support the event.
