Police are investigating after a teenage boy was assaulted by a group of youths in Glossop town centre.
The incident happened at around 4.30pm on Tuesday 19 October, near to the B&M Bargains store on Norfolk Street.
The 13-year-old was attacked by five teenage boys after a fight had broken out between two members of the group.
He was punched in the face and had his head stamped on during the assault, resulting in bruising and a black eye.
It is understood that several children recorded the assault on their phones and that these have been circulating on social media.
