Children got handy with a paintbrush in a special exhibition in Glossop.
The second Children’s Art Exhibition was and staff at the held by The Friends of Victoria Hall. The exhibition included work undertaken by local primary schools to celebrate local history as interpreted by the children.
Last year’s event was a huge success, with pupils taking part, not just learning about the history of their local areas, but experimenting with different mediums. During the exhibition this year there was an opportunity for people to discuss their heritage with two genealogists who kindly offered their time free for children to carry out some initial research into their family history.
The exhibition was also open to the public to view. To celebrate the Heritage Week there was also an evening of music with Glossop Ukulele Group with a set from Occasional Sax.
