As the clear up continues and Stalybridge recovers from the freak storm which damaged more than 100 homes causing hundreds of thousands of pounds of damage, our thoughts turn to the unsung heroes.
The Reporter today launches a search for people who made great efforts to help those affected by the tornado.
We want readers to nominate neighbours, friends and tradesmen and women who have helped to make homes habitable, cleared debris or even made sure their neighbour had a cup of tea and something warm to eat in the wake of the 80mph storm.
If you know someone who fits the bill, let us know and we will make sure their efforts do not go unrecognised.
If someone went the extra mile to make life easier for you, let us know. It could be someone who helped a friend fill in an insurance claim form or neighbours who banded together to clear fallen branches blocking a residential road.
Just let us know who they are and where we can contact them and we will do the rest.
In a times of crisis the people of Tameside came together and we want them to be recognised.
