Urgent repairs to the track between New Mills Central and Chinley are causing disruption to journeys on the route between Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield via New Mills Central.
The line is currently closed in both directions.
As a result, trains may be cancelled, diverted or part replaced by buses.
Northern Rail anticipate disruption will continue until the end of the day on Monday 3 June.
Manchester Piccadilly to Buxton services are not affected by this disruption.
