Police are appealing for information after a cat was shot in the High Lea area of New Mills.
It happened sometime between 11pm on Monday evening (8 November) and 7am the following morning.
Police say the cat is making a recovery.
Anyone who has any information or CCTV which may assist with enquiries is asked to call 101 or report it online at http://www.derbyshire.police.uk, quoting incident number 665-091121.
