Local fire stations are looking to sign on more on-call firefighters.
Glossop, Chapel, New Mills and Whaley Bridge are currently recruiting and would welcome anyone interested to call and see them.
On-call firefighters are paid to respond to emergencies.
They do not staff fire stations 24 hours a day like full-time firefighters and come from every walk of life, including homemakers, shopkeepers, builders, farmers, office workers and directors of companies, together with people who are not currently employed.
